Fanad Head Lighthouse

Fanad Head Lighthouse - Co. Donegal

This has to be one of my favorite lighthouses as it is so favorably positioned on the west coast of Ireland and as such the setting sun is always well positioned. The lighthouse was erected in 1818, it stands proudly on a rocky promontory overlooking Lough Swilly and Dunaff Head.
